Report a catalog error
A useful report makes the problem reproducible. Include the region, selected year, displayed artist and title, page URL, and what appears to be wrong. For a date correction, add a reliable artist, label, broadcaster, chart, library, or music-catalog source when possible.
- Identify the entry: region, year, artist, title, and page URL.
- Describe the issue: wrong date, wrong version, duplicate, unavailable video, region block, or misleading context.
- Add evidence: a source URL and the relevant release, chart, or catalog detail.
Report a playback problem
YouTube videos can be removed, made private, blocked in a region, or disabled for embedding. Include the video title shown by the player, the selected region and year, your country or region if relevant, and the error message. Do not send passwords, account details, or other sensitive information.
The preferred replacement is an embeddable upload from the artist, label, broadcaster, or another stable rights-holder channel. A popular unofficial reupload is not automatically a suitable replacement.
Copyright or rights-holder request
Music Time Machine does not host or provide downloads of audio or video files. Playback uses YouTube's embed system, and availability remains controlled by YouTube and the uploader. If you are a rights holder or authorized representative and have a concern about how a video reference or description appears here, email the specific page URL, work, video URL or ID, basis of the request, and a way to verify your authority.
For removal of the underlying video from YouTube, use YouTube's own rights-management or legal process. A request sent to this site can remove or correct the site's reference, but it cannot alter a video hosted by YouTube.
Before sending a song suggestion
Suggestions are welcome, but inclusion is not guaranteed. A proposed track should add a missing regional, historical, or stylistic perspective; have a date that can be checked; and use a stable, embeddable source. Paid placement and link exchanges do not influence selection.
Messages are reviewed as maintenance time permits. This page does not promise a fixed response or publication deadline.
